About me

Ana Esteve Llorens was born in Valencia, Spain and has been living, intermittently, between Spain and the US since 2005. She attended the Fachhochschuele Braunschweig/Wolfenbuettel in Germany, and in 1998, she earned a Telecommunication Engineering degree from Higher Polytechnic School of Gandia, specializing in Image and Sound. After working the next four years as an engineer, both in Wolfsburg, Germany, and in Madrid, she was accepted into the School of Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. About me

Ana Esteve Llorens was born in Valencia, Spain and has been living, intermittently, between Spain and the US since 2005. She attended the Fachhochschuele Braunschweig/Wolfenbuettel in Germany, and in 1998, she earned a Telecommunication Engineering degree from Higher Polytechnic School of Gandia, specializing in Image and Sound. After working the next four years as an engineer, both in Wolfsburg, Germany, and in Madrid, she was accepted into the School of Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2005 she was awarded a Promoe Fellowship to study at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her BFA in 2007 from Polytechnic University of Valencia. She also holds a MA from the same university. In 2011 she earned her MFA in Sculpture and Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University. Esteve Llorens has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, which include a Fulbright Fellowship and an AMEXCID Excellence Fellowship. Her work has been shown in Europe and in The Americas. She has been an artist in residence at Yaddo in New York, The French Academy in Madrid, and The National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City.
