The FLAG Art Foundation presents The Times from June 1 – August 11, 2017, on its 9th floor gallery. The exhibition uses The New York Times as its point of departure and features over 80 artists, artist duos, and collectives who use the “paper of record” to address and reframe issues that impact our everyday lives.

Painter Eduardo Anievas hosts a two-day open studio event on Saturday, May 20th from 12-8pm and Sunday, May 21st from 12-6pm, as part of the LIC Arts Open Festival.  Anievas will display fifty paintings including his new series of flamenco dancers in a friendly, informal atmosphere with homemade sangria on the house.

Spanish sculptor and abstract painter Cristina Avello will participate in Context New York from May 3-7  invited by galería Lucía Mendoza (Madrid).

Cristina presents her wood sculptures from the series "Olas de Mujer" ("Waves of Womanhood").  

Continuing with their collaborative project, Hector Canonge and Verónica Peña present DE LO NUESTRO (Of Ours). Their new performance explores the criminal nature sometimes embedded in a creative process.
