About me
Raul Gomez Valverde is a visual artist born in 1980 in Madrid, Spain. He received a BFA from Complutense University in Madrid, an MA from Central Saint Martins, London, and a MFA from School of Visual Arts, New York.
His work, based on video, photography, installation, sound and graphic design, has been displayed in the United States, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, and Cuba. Solo exhibitions include To look and to look, PhotoEspaña, Madrid (2010); 2010-2030, Ventana244, New York (2011); “Colorear/Editar/Ocupar”, MGEC, Marbella; and the forthcoming Raul would like you to be critically happy, C Arte C, Madrid (October 2012).Recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, Carmen Arozena International Award 2010 and the Injuve Prize 2008, Raul is Fellow from the AIM program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
