I teach contemporary Spanish literature and culture at the University of Washington. I also translate contemporary poetry from Spanish to English. I have co-directed and co-produced a documentary film, "Almas sin fronteras: La historia jamás contada de la Brigada Abraham Lincoln," and have curated a traveling exhibit of children's drawings from the Spanish Civil War.
