Alexis Morante was born in 1978 in Algeciras (Spain). He has a Communication Bachelor's Degree in Cadiz University (Spain); Direction and Production Studies in Seville's Cinema Institute (Spain); Scriptwriting course in San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba); Media Studies in Karlstad University (Sweden). Currently he just graduated in a MFA Filmmaking in the New York Film Academy, between New York and Los Angeles (USA). In professional world Alexis Morante has worked as a director, producer and scriptwriter in Spanish Tv, he also has been Advertising Creative and specially he has written, edited and directed 9 short films (TIC-TAC, SANGRE ESPAÑOLA, HABITACIÓN CERO, SETENTA, CASUALIDADES, COORDENADAS, 12 UVAS, VOLTERETA y MATADOR ON THE ROAD), 2 documentaries (BUSCANDO UN RESPIRO y CUATRO NOTAS) and several music videos for famous Spanish artists such as LOS DELINQÜENTES, MACACO, FITO, NIÑOS MUTANTES or ENRIQUE BUNBURY. Nowadays he co-directs the company 700G FILMS, with new projects like the first big documentary about the rock star ENRIQUE BUNBURY, directed by Alexis Morante and shot during the USA 2010 Tour through more than 25 cities around the country. This documentary will be premiered this year 2011. Besides, Alexis Morante has won more than 30 awards, (Student Short Film Contest de Los Angeles) and his works have been screened in more than 100 International Festivals.
