About me

As an award winning writer/director for both the advertising and the entertainment industry, Abel has honed his storytelling skills by developing creative work for top national advertising agencies that has garnered accolades and prestigious awards (Cannes, Fiap, Clio and the New York Festival) as well as producing his first two short films, the dark comedy “Crossing Numbers.” (premiered at The Havana Film Festival) and the psychological drama “Forget Me Not”, that has been screened at more than 45 international film festivals and awarded at four. His creative journey started back in his native Spain, where he earned a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Murcia while simultaneously working as a director for the TEUM, a traveling theatre troupe, which toured extensively and later and gave him the opportunity to study Drama at the University of Puerto Rico with a full scholarship in 1995.
